Sara was born and raised in Mexico. Growing up in a theatrical environment Sara has been involved with art a her whole life. She started her professional Ballet training in 1995 at the Escuela Nacional de Danza Clasica y Contemporanea moving then to Germany in 1999 to attend the renown “John Neumier Ballet School”. In 2001 she moved back to Mexico where she started her acting career in theatre, TV, and commercials. She studied with some of the best teachers in Mexico such as Raul Quintanilla, Hector Mendoza, Ximena Escalante and others while attending the two year program at CEFAC (Centro de Formacion Actoral). In 2005 Sara decided to expand her horizons and moved to New York City with Romina Sacre to attend the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In 2006 she enrolled the New York Film Academy’s Filmmaking program and finished the first year in December 2007 with her short film “Bendito el Fruto de tu Vientre” entering four film festivals around the world. Soon after she started working on TV pilots for ABC and HBO, feature films with renown directors such as Nicole Holofcener, and directing, producing and writing some new SESA productions projects. In 2009 Sara returned to NYFA to finish the 2nd Year from which she graduated May 5th 2010 with her short thesis film "Hawkins Hill" playing in festivals now.
